Ninfa Pili Weinzapfel

Ninfa Pili Weinzapfel has more than 25 years of experience in treating patients for orthopedics/sports, TMJ dysfunction, women/men pelvic floor pain and incontinence issues, and is certified in functional capacity evaluations and work rehabilitation.  She has completed pre and post offer testing to evaluate whether the client has the necessary physical abilities to safely perform the work duties required to be employed or to return to work.

Her compassion for patient care and holistic focus is facilitated by her manual therapy skills and implementation of a multi-scientific approach, biomechanical analysis, and individual design of task specific rehabilitation and recovery.  Pili works with patients ranging from adolescent to geriatric aged populations including prehabilitation and rehabilitation of competitive dancers, cyclists, musicians, weekend warriors, high school, Paralympic and Olympic athletes.  She strives to help both busy and sedentary patients achieve their recovery goals and return to a more active lifestyle.

Pili graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology.  She further pursued her education at the College of Osteopathic medicine of the Pacific where she graduated with a Master’s in Physical Therapy.  To specialize in her focus, she has completed a Manual Therapy Residency with the Ola Grimsby Institute achieving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.  Pili has worked with the Dance Task Force for USA Dance, has been involved in multiple sports screenings for local community high schools, and has participated as a medic for the San Diego Rock n Roll Marathon.

Torhild Kvarekvaal

Torhild Kvarekvaal has more than 30 years of experience in treating patients with all types of orthopedic diagnosis in an outpatient setting. Her interests span the entire physical performance range, from senior Total Joint Rehabilitation, highly involved MVA victims, children and adolescences with traumatic and cumulative trauma injuries, to national and international level of sport performance testing and injury recovery. Torhild has completed four years of residency training in orthopedic Manual Therapy, meeting the requirement for American Academy of orthopedic Manual Therapy (AAOMPT’s) and International Federation of Manual Therapy (IFOMT,s) Fellowship status.

As an instructor for the Ola Grimsby Institute (OGI) for more than 15 years Torhild has gathered experience in teaching orthopedic Manual Therapy, including short term and long-term courses, as well as residency programs all over the United States and other foreign countries. She has also been involved as an examiner for the OGI and AAOMPT.

As an active individual in numerous recreational and competitive sports over the years, Torhild has extensive knowledge in analysis and individual design of task specific rehabilitation routines within multiple sports and performance activities. She has been involved with US Figure skating Association as part of their High-Performance Team and participated in the PGA and LPGA Tour medical team.
